For reception or gift table use a gift bag that reflects the theme of the shower e.g. Noah's Ark, Winnie the Pooh, etc. Purchase helium filled ballons in the colors of your shower. Tie the ballons to a weight and arrange in different heights. Attach thin gift ribbon to the bottom of each ballon to add accents. If you want you can add stickers to the ballons. Place the ballon bouquet in the gift bag and you have a centerpiece.
This attracted alot of attention at a shower I gave. I was surprised that it wasn't used more often. Please note: you need to purchase ballons that are designed for use with helium. Lady PP

Another use for helium ballons. Purchase baby bottles and fill with candy. Attach a helium ballon or two to the bottle. Set these around the room as decorations that can also be used for door prizes.

Decorations that are useful! Use baby supplies for your decorations e.g. baby shampoo, baby lotion, baby powder, etc. Again attach the ballons to pizzazz it up. The mom-to-be will appreciate the supplies.

A wall decoration using disposable diapers. Write the name of the baby on the diapers. One letter per diaper. Clothespin these to a cord and hang.

Another centerpiece for a gift table. Fill a baby tub with with various colored light blue and white ballons (the bubbles). Tape a rubber duckie to the top of one of the ballons so appears to be floating. Quick and cute!

Use what you have!!! Collect teddy bears, stuff toys, kid's books, etc. and set around the room. Or if the party has a theme e.g. Noah's Ark drag out all your knick-knacks you have related to the theme. (stuff animals also work for the Noah's Ark theme).

Have the quest bring baby photos of themselves. Set these around the room. See games for ideas on how to do a game using these photos. Lady PP
