Hi,
I have had a wisdom tooth under my back teeth for many years, and it does not bother me at all. So, I don't see a reason to have it removed. However, I have heard conflicting opinions from dentists and oral surgeons on whether wisdom teeth need to be removed. One dentist said that wisdom teeth can be beneficial when you get older and start to lose your teeth. Another dentist told me that leaving them in can put a strain on your jaw in as you approach your later years in life.
