Whether planning a party, a vacation or wedding, they all start out at the planning stage.
Planning the plan: List all the things that needs to be done to complete the project-don't panic if the list is long. Now look at each item on your list. Can you do that activity in an half-hour? If not, break it down into activities you can do in an half-hour. Using ordering a wedding cake for an example. One of the steps would be determining how much cake you need. Next you could decide on the type/style of cake you want. Another would be getting recommendations for bakeries. Another would be to price cakes. And finally you would go to your chosen bakery and order it. Stepping down the parts of the project into small time slots will allow you more flexibility in accomplishing each step. You may not have time to track down the bakery you want and to decide on the cake, but by accomplishing each small step-in any spare time you may have-you will have accomplished the task quicker than if you had postponed it until you "had the time."
Planning takes time. But it saves leg work and forgotten items.
