Just check with the protocol of the clinic, hospital or doctors office. There might be some health, sanitation, sterile environment issues, etc... But they'll want you there

They will prefer this to keep your child calm and comforted during this largely painless procedure.

I hope all will be well with your little one or whoever's child will be having the transfusion.

He or she will be in my prayers.

Your child is more likely to be bored and restless rather than in discomfort and you will be helpful.
